Expected more

Read about this fragrance a few years ago, forgot about it but saw it again and ordered it right away. Maybe the rollon smells better, but I thought the solid made me smell almost like I had not bathed. Loved the other fragrance I tried from Pacifica, don't know how this could fall so short. Someone please tell me it is just the solid form and not the fragrance - reviews in magazine for this scent were great.
